Stefani has experience providing individual and group counselling to detained youth, as well as counselling in community settings, inpatient acute care hospitals, and the emergency department. This experience has shown her, above all else, how resilient and resourceful individuals are when facing overwhelming challenges in their lives. Research shows that one of the top predictors of therapeutic outcomes is the therapeutic relationship. Depression

Depression is typically identified by the following symptoms: Feeling sad or ‘down’, Loss of interest in daily activities that were once enjoyable, Change in appetite, Difficulty sleeping, Feelings of worthlessness and guilt.

Anxiety

Anxiety is the body’s natural response to stress. However, when thoughts of worry become excessive or intrusive to the point of disrupting your daily life, it is time to learn new skills and techniques to manage and regulate your anxiety.

Trauma

Trauma can present in several different ways and include flashbacks, nightmares, inability to regulate or experiencing unpredictable emotions, difficulty in relationships, as well as a number of physical symptoms. Trauma can manifest in our mind and bodies due to a single, distressing event, or chronic stressors over time. Those who experience trauma can start to blame themselves and feel ‘stuck’.

No, all services can be accessed directly by contacting the office.

While each insurance company is a little bit different, most cover all or a portion of services. Please check with your provider prior to our first visit. You will be provided with a receipt immediately following each session, which can be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement.

We understand that sometimes emergencies arise, and rescheduling is necessary. However, if sessions are missed in excess or without 24 hour notice,  a cancellation fee is charged for the missed session.

This type of therapy utilizes eye movements and voluntary memory/image replacement to change how we store distressing imagine in our brains. This type of treatment applies psychotherapy techniques that are well-established. During this type to therapy, clients get to choose if they would like to share their distressing event or traumas to get relief from their symptoms.
